During summer one can enjoy a great view of the Etruscan coast sitting on one of the tables on the panoramic terrace of the restaurant „Il Romito“ in Livorno – truly a feast for the eyes. Also the inside of the restaurant with its spacious window panes is a pleasant place during the colder months of the year.
The „Il Romito is one of the few restaurants in Livorno that hasn’t changed management in many years, as the family Pelligrini manages the restaurant since 1972.
The hotel – restaurant „il Romito“ in Livorno is a perfect location for celebrations at the seaside – weddings at the beach, first communion festivities at the sea, birthday parties, tourist groups, bus tourism groups – also for a romantic dinner in two, the restaurant is the ideal choice.
At the „Il Romito“ you can enjoy the regional cuisine with the creative touch of our chef Mario, starting with the mixed Antipasto “a la Romito”, the stuffed zucchini blossoms, baked scallop gratin, fresh salmon and king prawns in a special sauce, fish prepared Neapolitan style “all’acqua pazza” or baked with fresh vegetables.
Some first courses also belong to the specialties of the house and are worth tasting like the “Maccheroncini del Tirreno ®”, the „Spaghetti allo Scoglio“, and the Gnocchi with shrimps and zucchini
Especially delicate is the tasty fish soup “alla Livornese” that is to this day prepared after grandmother Diva’s recipe.
